A VIDEO film produced by NorthLight Media has helped Cross Keys Homes to win a major community award. The video, filmed and edited by NorthLight director Martyn Moore, was shown at the East of England’s What We Are Proud Of Awards on June 30. The Cross Keys Homes Working 4 U project was announced as the overall winner following voting on the night after the film had been shown. A new website for Chris Porsz, the well-known Peterborough street photographer, has gone live at www.chrisporsz.com.
The site, created by NorthLight Media, is receiving visitors from all over the world after Chris announced its launch on his Facebook page and on Twitter. Several bloggers in America have written about Chris and sent visitors to his site. Photographs from the 1970s to the present day show the changing face and faces of Peterborough in online galleries and slideshows. There are also examples of Chris's photographs of New York. Martyn Moore, director of NorthLight Media, said, "We are delighted with Chris's site and the amount of global traffic it attracts. The site needed to be visually simple but strong and easy for Chris to maintain." New sections showing the old Peterborough hospitals are being added and Chris takes part in an online discussion of his work on the website. NORTHLIGHT Media has made a short film for Garden Studios TV, an independent online guide to garden rooms, lodges and studios. The crew followed the building of the garden room in January 2011. NORTHLIGHT Media is helping Peterborough-based conservation charity Froglife to create its own videos for YouTube. The organisation held an exhibition in the city recently and NorthLight's Martyn Moore went along and filmed the event using Froglife's own inexpensive consumer video camera. The film was then edited using free video production software as part of a training exercise for Froglife staff. The charity now plans to create its own YouTube channel using short films made by its own workers. See www.froglife.org A HIGH-definition video featuring speakers and organisers of the Peterborough Skills Summit 2010 has been shot and edited by Martyn Moore, owner of NorthLight Media Limited. The seven-minute film is hosted on YouTube and NorthLight will be creating several other multimedia presentations for Opportunity Peterborough using footage shot at the event. AN online TV channel for risk management professionals has been created by NorthLight Media. The channel, at www.cardinustv.com, has been created to provide news, advice and information for customers of Cardinus Risk Management. Most of the video content has been created by NorthLight Media and includes film of conferences and health and safety presentations. A customer channel will feature online tutorials to help customers with common systems queries and reduce the number of support calls they need to make. THE brochure and advertising campaign for a new range of clothing from British Eventing has been photographed by Martyn Moore of NorthLight Media. The marketing material was designed Andy Wright of Dupree Creative in Stamford, who also art directed the photo shoot, and the project was managed and co-ordinated by CopperKite, a Peterborough-based marketing company. GOVERNMENT digital champion and online entrepreneur Martha Lane Fox asked NorthLight Media to create a short video message for her Raceonline2012.org website. The aim of Race Online 2012 is to encourage businesses and individuals to help other people get online and start enjoying the benefits of the internet. When companies sign up to the website, they make a pledge of how many people they will help to get online. In the film, shot at the website's central London office, Martha announces that pledges from supporters of the project have exceeded the one million mark. THE MAY issue of BPI magazine has been sent to the printer. We don't normally make a big fuss about a monthly event, but this issue is a bit different. The May issue has been designed and laid-out by NorthLight Media - a job normally done by publisher Archant Specialist. The magazine is also a bigger format and has lots of new features. Martyn Moore, editor of BPI magazine, said, "It's been an interesting month, taking on the design as well as most of the writing, editing and production. But we got there and I'm very pleased with the result. I'm sure the publisher and advertisers will be happy, too." |
